Hello,
In the Netherlands, a group of IF-boats sail under ORC rating. We did very well in regatta’s, and discussions about our rating followed. The Dutch ORC authorities decided to manually adjust our Vertical Center of Gravity (VCG) to -0,45 cm. This is approx. 45 cm below the waterline. Our ORC rating changed in our disadvantage.
I was wondering whether there is any knowledge about the stability/VCG of the IF-boat in this community? Maybe a longshot, but any information would be helpfull.

Re: Vertical center of gravity
That's an interesting question!
In the drawings I can find that the center of gravity is 4250 mm from the stern. But that is only the COG horizontal position. I can't find any reference to where the vertical position might be.

Re: Vertical center of gravity
To make a proper calculation/estimation you have to make an inclining test with the boat in the water. I have made theoretical calculations. See old issues of Medvind where results are published.
