Mast selden

After an accidental crash when hoisting it, something happened to my mast and the boom is not staying up anymore. There must have been something locking it that is no longer there.

I am attaching some pics of the mast, do you know how this piece is called in Swedish? I may try to hit the stores if you know what I have to look for. The mast, I believe, is a Selden, and one of the latest since my sail number is 3406

Thank you!

There should be some sort of a boom traveller device and a stopping device to prevent the traveller to come out from the row in the mast. Maybe you lost the traveller and stopping devices during the mast stepping accident.

Anyhow, this is not a single standard construction but different types of masts, booms and boom fittings during the years. So I recommend you to make more pictures of the area in question when the mainsail is hoisted.

I will take more pics tomorrow; I did search and there is nothing around that would suggest that the internal part slipped, but will check again. I thought these were standard Selden profiles...?

I forgot to reply. It turned out the stopping point slipped down just a bit, and once sailing I noticed that the boom sat safely and I did it through the holiday. I could not see the stopping element though, I will seek for local advice from a rigger, I fear. Thank you all!
