Could somebody send me a photo of the original jib sheet cleats at IF-boat from 1976? What is the exact distance of the holes for screws? Is it possible to buy such cleats somewhere? I prefer to use the original holes covered under the unsuitable new cleats at my IF, not to drill new ones. Thank you
David Kubal

Re: What are the original jib sheet cleats?
There could be different types as original. Please add a photo.
However, If yours will be the same as mine (and other IF-boats here nearby), the holes will fit Servocleat medium siize ( 8-12 mm) . The scew hole distance is about 40 mm.
I have made an exchange myself on my own boat, as the (white) original old ones began to be poor and did not always keep the sheet fastened. See enclosed picture.
In order to make the angle of the cleat to differ from vertical, I have mounted a wedge underneath. This improves the sheet to stay in the cleat.

Re: What are the original jib sheet cleats?
My boat has jam cleats of this type for the original sheet winches at the cockpit sides: http://www.watski.se/f/Knipknap-Nylon-120-Mm-2922434
I think they are original on my 1974 boat. At least I haven't done anything but using them in the 20 years I have owned the boat.

Re: What are the original jib sheet cleats?
Thanks to both. I will mount the second kind of cleats (shown at the link from Johan). They are not so quick for operation, but universal and robust. And I have just bought discounted ones :-).

Here is a picture of mine:
On the picture the spinnaker sheet is stowed on the winch.
